Admissions Information - Reception 2024

Larchwood Primary School is a two form entry.

Our intake is 60 children in all Year groups (two classes).

Our Admission Policy is as follows:

There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area.

In the event of oversubscription places will be allocated using the following criteria in the order given:

  1. Looked after children and previously looked after children (as defined in the Primary Education in Essex 2024/2025 booklet);
  2. Children with a sibling attending the school;
  3. Children living in the priority admission area;
  4. Remaining applications

Primary Education in Essex 2024/2025 booklet

In the event of oversubscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, with those living closest being given the highest priority.

Below are several links to the Essex County Council website with all the information you need to know about joining us.

Check if you are in the priority admissions area using the Essex Priority admission catchment area finder.
